Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

This privacy policy describes how World War X ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application or web app. It applies to the App on all platforms on which it is distributed.

Information We Collect

To run your game account and provide the App, we collect and store:

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your email address, real name, phone number, precise location, contacts, calendar, or any payment card details. If you choose to link a Google, Play Games, or Apple Game Center account for account recovery, we receive only an opaque account identifier from that provider — never your email address or profile details.

How We Use Information

Chat and Content You Share With Other Players

The App includes a chat feature. Messages you send in the global chat room can be read by any other player using the App. Messages you send as a direct message can be read by the player you send them to. Do not share personal information — such as your real name, address, phone number, email address, or payment details — in chat.

Chat messages are stored on our servers so that conversations persist between sessions, and are retained while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your messages as described under Data Retention and Deletion. Because chat is a shared space, a copy of a message you sent may remain visible in another player's conversation history.

Chat messages are automatically screened for offensive language before they are shown. If you report a message, that message and the surrounding context are stored with your report so we can review it and act on it. You can block another player at any time, which stops you from seeing their messages.

Translation. If you have chat translation switched on, the text of a message is sent to a machine-translation service operated by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, and the translated text is cached so the same message does not need to be translated twice. Message text is not sent to any other third party for this purpose, and is not used to train third-party models.

Advertising and Attribution

The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob, and we use AppsFlyer to measure which advertising campaigns lead to app installs. These services may collect your advertising ID, IP address, general location derived from that IP address, and information about how you interact with the App and its ads.

AppsFlyer may share limited event information (such as that an install occurred, that you reached an early progression milestone, or that a purchase occurred) with the advertising networks we run campaigns on, including Meta (Facebook), so those networks can measure and improve campaign performance. These events are tied to advertising and device identifiers, not to your name or email address.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following service providers, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy:

We do not sell your personal information.

Ad Personalization and Consent

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), you will be shown a consent dialog before personalized ads are displayed. You may accept or decline personalized advertising. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests.

On iOS devices, you may also be asked for permission to track via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and game data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and its associated data — including your game progress, your chat messages, and any support conversations and attachments — from within the App. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered. Chat messages you sent may still appear in another player’s conversation history, and reports you submitted are kept for as long as we need them for moderation records.

If you need help deleting your account, contact us at the address below.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The chat feature lets players communicate with people they may not know, and is intended for players old enough for the App’s age rating. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Security

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Your game data is stored on infrastructure operated by Cloudflare. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
